I was told today to expect weekend overtime next weekend .... and possibly the weekend after that.
Initially I was happy that I wasn't asked to come in this weekend... but the weight of the future is starting to press down on me. I feel pressure ...................lots of pressure to make this full weekend count. I have a ton of insanely ambitious plans, and that mean thats I will do nothing.  The main thing I NEED to do is take enjoyment were I can and not get buried.

Random

 When we came out of work for our lunch break (4:45 am) there was this amazing double rainbow. The sky was dark but the rainbow was glowing. By the time I took this picture the sun was coming up and it wasn't the same.

We took Boris to Kohler Andre. He was terrible in the car, and seemed afraid of the water. 

 

This is my new pig grill. Smoke comes out of the snout................Don't worry, that is beef not pork on the grill.

Not Much Time

   Joe is walking Boris.... so I started running around doing a bunch of erratic .... kinda desperate stuff.

 Normally I sleep.

-I planted a tomato plant in a pot that has been outside and full of weeds since last year. I got bit by a ton of mosquitos pulling the weeds out of the thing.  They were tiny .... smaller than normal.
I still have two more plants to put in .... but , I just dropped my shovel and left ...................... not because of the bugs , they were unpleasant, but because my mind switched to something else.
- So I came in and decided to cook something.... I stood in front of the stove and opened the refrigerator.... and then left the kitchen and started to clean.
- As I cleaned I came across the incense burner I had lit just after Joe walked out our door. I had been obsessed with taking a picture of it.... So I put it outside and went to look for the camera.... and ended up in the kitchen... and I thought that I should clean....
..... but that seemed hard......

- So I went back outside... saw that the incense had been put out by the rain. so I  left it there.....
- Now I am in here writing this. Joe has only been gone 10 minutes.

Friday Movie - Ultra Relax

Boris is sitting on the couch next to me .... and Joe is in his computer room doing something , but soon we will be watching a movie.
I haven't done much writing here lately ... and when I have it hasn't been as frivolous as I would like. I hate it when I get all wrapped up and "deep" it feel so ...tired to me... I am always whining about something ......... and wallowing in sadness whenever I get a chance to sit down and be alone.
I will be stressed out about something I am going through... but when I write it is from my past... because the current issues have the potential to hurt others.

.... I become even more tense because I am not purging or working through situations ... and I get all worked up and fucky about stuff from the past...

....the movie is over ... there were some nice bits but ... there were also a lot of things lacking.... I never seem to like it when Japanese subject matter is remade (even by people who truly seem to love it) in America. There is a mix of sensibilities that I find somewhat obnoxious. I am only slightly familiar with Astro Boy.... but from what I have seen ... they missed out on a lot of the cute and pulpy stuff and added; average slapstick visual jokes, Post 911 political commentary and a funky young girl with an attiude.

There is a lot of cool but stupid stuff in anime.... I love that it is stupid.... but when it is remade they either try to rationalize or hang a lantern on those elements.

I think they will be making a CG Gatchamon . I hope they don't try to explain Princesse's yo yo.

....on a similar note I also have my reservations about the new Clash of the Titans coming out inext week ....
....and Paul W.S. Anderson is directing a remake of Buck Rogers ....Mother Fucker....
